Pakistan being turned into secular state, alleges Siraj
CHARSADDA: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) head Sirajul Haq said on Sunday that efforts were being made to turn Pakistan into a secular state.
Speaking at a gathering here, he said the people were running from pillar to post to get justice but the rulers didn’t bother to change the system and provide relief to the masses. JI provincial head Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, JI district head Mohammad Riaz and others also addressed the event.
On the occasion, several people including religious scholars announced joining the JI. Sirajul Haq said that he belonged to a humble family and could feel the pain of the people from the downtrodden segments of the society.
The JI Ameer said the present system of governance was based on injustice that safeguarded the interests of the affluent people.
