Unemployment

Since the creation of Pakistan, the country has been dealing with a large number of problems. But, unemployment is the crucial problem that needs to be resolved as soon as possible. Although many other issues – including terrorism, poverty, etc – have hit hard the country, these issues only exist because of unabated unemployment. Despite the herculean efforts of the government to tackle the issue, sufficient job opportunities cannot be created to reduce unemployment. Almost 60 million Pakistanis are living below the poverty line. It is said that the CPEC project will create employment opportunities in the country. It still cannot assure that the country will be successful in completing eradicating the problem.

It is also observed that after losing all hopes of landing on a job, the unemployed people set up their own business. They secure loans from banks to commence their business. Since they are not experienced in this field, they usually don’t meet their targets. This leads to unpaid bank loans. In order to tackle unemployment, the government of Pakistan needs to analyse the policies of developed states and later adopt those policies to tackle the issue in the country. It is the responsibility of the government to ensure the decent living of the people. It is high time the existing problem of unemployment is dealt with in an appropriate manner so that the country can tackle the rising poverty and other socio-economic issues related to unemployment.
