Siraj leaves for Saudi Arabia
LAHORE
Jamaat Islami ameer Senator Sirajul Haq left for Saudi Arabia on Saturday on a week long visit along with a high level delegation to participate in a three-day conference of Rabita Alam islami in the holy city of Makkah and to offer Umrah.
JI information secretary Amirul Azeem said in the absence of Senator Sirajul Haq, JI secretary general Liaqat Baloch will be discharging duties of acting ameer of the party. He said Liaqat Baloch took oath as acting ameer of the party at a simple ceremony at Mansoorah on Saturday.
Talking to media after the ceremony, Liaqat Baloch said the sudden visits of the prime minister across the country with programmes of huge development schemes reflected his sense of unrest. He said all proof presented before the Supreme Court in Panama Leaks case by the prime minister’s family had contradictions in every paragraph.
