MANDI BAHAUDDIN: The Army jawans have been deployed at educational institutions keeping in view the security threat.
Meanwhile, Punjab Education Secretary Tauqeer Shah visited the schools and ordered to enhance security. District administration sources also refrained to inform the deployment of armyman.
UNDERPASS DEMANDED: Citizens have demanded the construction of an underpass at New Rasool Road railway crossing. They said that through Punjab Minister for Social Development Hamida Waheed had announced Rs 60 million for the construction of the underpass, but work could not be started due to reasons best known to the authorities concerned. They said that traffic jam had become a routine matter due to absence of the underpass. They demanded that the underpass should be constructed immediately to provide a relief to the masses.
