PHC CJ calls for quick dispensation of justice
MANSEHRA: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) Chief Justice Yahya Afridi said on Sunday that the bench and the bar should work jointly for quick dispensation of justice.
"I announce the establishment of a camp court in Torghar to provide inexpensive justice to the litigants," he told a gathering of lawyers and judicial officers. He said the litigants wanted early dispensation of justice and it was the responsibility of the bench and bar to ensure the speedy dispensation of justice.
The PHC chief justice directed the district and sessions judge to talk to the district administration of Torghar about the premises of the camp court and accommodations for relevant staff and judicial officers.
He said the cases of people of Oghi tehsil about the National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) and the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education in Abbottabad would be transferred to courts in Oghi from Mansehra.
The PHC chief justice directed the district and sessions judge Mansehra to ensure compliance of his order. According to a press release issued by the Oghi Bar Association, PHC Chief Justice Yahya Afridi visited the proposed site for the judicial complex. He directed the officials to construct a bar room and two libraries for the district bar association Torghar and Tehsil Bar Association Oghi at the proposed judicial complex.
