COAS Challenge Hockey Cup to begin on Jan 22

KARACHI: The First COAS Challenge Hockey Cup 2015 has been rescheduled and will now be held from January 22 to 31, ‘The News’ learnt on Friday.
The event will take place at Army Hockey Stadium, Rawalpindi.
The meetings of technical officials and teams’ managers and captains will be held on January 21.
Pakistan Army has taken the initiative to promote the national game at grassroots level.
The armed forces’ role in the promotion of hockey has been great, particularly when Air Marshall Noor Khan, Col Zafri, Brig Atif, Brig Hamidee and Col Muddasar were associated with the game.
