HAFIZABAD: The police claimed to have recovered three suicide jackets from Jhang Branch Canal near a seminary on Friday.
Some fishermen spotted suspicious material floating in the canal and informed the police. DO Civil Defence Ali Imran with a bomb disposal squad and police reached the spot and recovered the suicide jackets containing 30 kilograms of explosive material. DPO Shakir Hussain Dawar confirmed that the suicide jackets had been defused by the bomb disposal squad. He said that they had launched an operation to apprehend the culprits.
