Says let's pray court to announce decision in PanamaLeaks case today

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan expressed hope that the Supreme Court (SC) might announce its judgement in the Panama case in a day or two. He said that one person was extremely upset on not given ministry.

In chat with journalists outside his residence at Banigala here, PTI chairman pointed out that it was quite surprising that the entire government was busy in saving the Sharifs with regards to their corruption. He said lets pray the court would announce its decision in PanamaLeaks case today. He charged nothing else was happening and even there was no focus on the implementation of the National Action Plan (NAP).

He alleged that in order to rescue the prime minister, all the state institutions had been destroyed, whereas the institutions in the West had grown strong. He added the institutions in Pakistan did not paralyse on their own but they were destroyed by design. Imran appeared in aggressive mood, as strong winds blew across the Banigala hills.

Imran contended that one should be grateful to the Supreme Court for hearing the Panama case, as during the course of proceedings, the public had learnt about the corruption of prime minister. He charged both FBR and the NAB had affected business in Pakistan.

Whatever judgment might be announced, he said, would be accepted by his party and that it would lead to betterment in national politics. Referring to all the names of Pakistanis, which surfaced in the Panama Papers, he pointed out that the conduct of the FBR was before all.

Regarding the money trail of the Sharif family and purchase of the London properties, he noted that the money trail of the Sharif family was Qatari. PTI chairman noted that while the attorney general was paid from the tax-payer’s money, he was standing in the apex court for the Sharif family.

Imran maintained that his name was nowhere in the PanamaLeaks, yet, disqualification reference was sent to the Election Commission of Pakistan by the NA speaker to blackmail him regarding the Panama Papers case in the apex court.

He claimed that a government representative might lose his senses, if the apex court did not announce judgement till tomorrow while another was desperate to wear sherwani (to become minister).

PTI chairman accused the prime minister of introducing ‘lifafa journalism’, which had left negative impact on journalism.  He strongly condemned the alleged mobile snatching of a media person by State Minister for Information Technology Anusha Rehman. “The government functionaries are foreseeing things are not promising for them,” he claimed.

Imran said that even if they (PML-N and PPP) were given another six turns to rule Pakistan, the state institutions would further be destroyed. He claimed Maryam Safdar was beneficiary owner of the London apartments in the original documents, which the PML-N was not producing before the apex court.

Talking about Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where his party led the ruling coalition, Imran claimed that none was demanding to call in the Rangers and that recruitments in the provincial police were being made purely on merit with no involvement of money.
