KP CM praises bravery of Charsadda cops, announces Rs5m reward
CHARSADDA: Chief Minister Pervez Khattak on Wednesday commended the bravery of the cops and announced Rs5 million reward for them for preventing the militants from entering the district courts here the other day.
The chief minister announced the cash award for the cops during his visit to district courts. Pervez Khattak said the cops saved several lives by preventing the attackers from entering the premises of the district and session court.
He condemned the attack on the local courts, saying foreign hand was behind the militancy in the country. "The terrorists enter to Pakistan from across the border and stage attacks," he said in a reference to Afghanistan.
The chief minister said that the elements supporting and facilitating the terrorists were the enemies of the country. He said intelligence agencies were coordinating and sharing details about the incident, adding the perpetrators of the attack would be brought to justice. To a question, the chief minister that the PTI wanted to see justice was being done. "We didn't care whether the government extends the military courts or strengthen the civil courts but wanted dispensation of speedy justice to masses," he added.
Later, the chief minister inaugurated the newly constructed Wali Khan Sports Complex. The sports complex has been constructed with an estimated cost of Rs500 million. He also went to the residence of Member Provincial Assembly belonging to Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl, Fazal Shakoor Khan.
Pervez Khattak announced the launch of Rescue 1122 service in Charsadda, type-A status for district headquarters hospital, construction of a playground, recreational park, Nisatta-Pabbi overhead bridge, construction of various roads, setting up of a digital library with an estimated cost of Rs150 million and Rs30 million for provision of power and installation of electricity equipment in provincial constituency PK-17.
