Charsadda mourns court attack victims
Three suspects held in search operation
CHARSADDA: The residents mourned the death of eight persons in the tehsil court suicide attack as the victims were laid to rest in various areas of the district amidst touching scenes on Wednesday. Stringent security arrangements had been put in place in the aftermath of the suicide attack while the security at the entry and exist points to the district had been beefed up. Attendance at the educational institutions and government departments remained thin on the second day of the terror incident.
The main Tangi bazaar remained partially closed. People from various walks of life visited the relatives of the victims to offer condolences and expresse sympathies over them over the loss of near and dear ones in the terror act. Chief Justice Peshawar High Court (PHC) Justice Yahya Afridi visited the district and session court and met with the lawyers. The chief justice expressed grief over the casualties and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured of the attack. The legal fraternity had announced three-day mourning over the call of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council over attacks. Meanwhile, the law enforcers continued search and strike operations in the district. District Police Officer Sohail Khalid said that three suspected persons had been arrested in the search operations.
