KARACHI: Pakistan defeated Bangladesh and Tajikistan in Junior Davis Cup pre-qualifying round of Asia Oceania region at R K Khanna Stadium Tennis courts in Delhi on Tuesday.
Pakistan beat Tajikistan 3-0. In the first singles, Hamza Bin Rehan defeated Issamjon Sharifov 6-1, 7-6(6) and in the second singles Muhammad Shoaib smashed Khushbakht Karimov 6-0, 6-0.
In the doubles, the pair of Aqib Hayat and Muhammad Shoaib smashed the duo of Khushbakht Karimov and Issamjon Sharifov 6-0, 6-0.
On Monday, Pakistan had beaten Bangladesh 3-0. In the first singles, Hamza thrashed Md Juel Rana 6-4, 7-5. Shoaib defeated Mohammad Istiak 6-3, 6-4 in the second singles.
In the doubles, Aqib and Shoaib won against the duo of Md Sadin Hossain and Mohammad Istiak 6-3, 7-6(4).
Pakistan will face Singapore on Wednesday (today). Pakistan are in Group C along with Singapore, Bangladesh and Tajikistan.
As many as 22 nations of Asia are taking part in Junior Davis Cup.
