Factory owner murdered on resistance in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD: Two dacoits gunned down a factory owner on resistance on Chen One Road on Thursday.
Sheikh Abdur Rehman and his wife were going to a plaza for shopping. When Abdur Rehman parked his car near a plaza, two dacoits came there and asked his wife to hand over cash and gold ornaments to them but Abdur Rehman resisted. It infuriated the dacoits and they shot at and injured him. The injured man was shifted to a hospital where he died. People’s Colony police have registered a murder case. Meanwhile, Anjuman-e-Tajran president Khawaja Shahid Razzaq Sakka and FCCI president Rizwan Ashraf and vice-president Nadeem Allahwala condemned the incident. They expressed concern over growing incidents of dacoity and theft in Faisalabad. They warned of taking out rallies if the district administration failed to control rising crime.
WOMAN COMMITS SUICIDE: A married woman committed suicide here.
Didar Ali’s wife swallowed poisonous pills in her house at Samundri. As a result, she fell unconscious. Her husband shifted her to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital from where the doctors referred her to the Civil Hospital. She was shifted to the hospital where she died.
KILLED ON ROAD: A man was killed in an accident on Millat Road here.
Ghulam Ali of Chak 7/JB was on his way when his motorcycle slipped and collided with a trailer. As a result, he was killed on the spot. Barnala police post have handed over the body to the relatives after completing legal formalities.

Arshad had exchanged hot words with his rivals, including Falak Sher, two days ago. On Thursday, Falak Sher and others allegedly gunned down Arshad’s son Azhar. Police have registered a case.
