Ghotki station

The Ghotki Railway Station is situated on the main railway track. After Rohri, it is the biggest and busiest station in northern Sindh. Hundreds of passengers travel daily from this station. A lot of agricultural and industrial commodities are loaded at the station and send to different parts of the country. It earns a substantial revenue for Pakistan Railways.
However, the station is in a very bad state. Its platforms have developed large holes. There is no proper lighting, cleanliness and waiting rooms. Passengers, particularly women, face a lot of trouble and inconvenience because of the absence these basic facilities. The maintenance and renovation work at the Ghotki Railway Station has become long overdue. The railways authorities are requested to look into the sorry state of the station and take up its early up-gradation.
