MULTAN: The anti-terrorism court No 2 has issued black warrants for Zahid Hussain alias Zahido of the banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi on Friday.
He will be hanged in Lahore Central Jail on January 15. Zahid Hussain had killed ASI Ghulam Rasool and injured constables Yousaf and Majid in Sital Marri on August 13, 2000. The Sital Mari police had registered cases against him. An ATC awarded him death on two counts, 33-year imprisonment and Rs 170,000 fine on June 3, 2002. The apex courts upheld his sentence. The slain cop’s widow Nasim Akhtar had pardoned him. However, he is being hanged in terrorism cases.

MULTAN: The police claimed to have arrested three people on the charge of distributing hateful religious material on Friday.
Khawaja Abu Al-Kalam and Saadullah were arrested by the Pak Gate and Cantonment police respectively. The Gulgasht police have arrested Muhammad Tariq and seized hateful material from him.
