PPP caravans leave for Larkana
Caravans of Pakistan People’s Party from different parts of Punjab left for Naudero, Larkana to attend the party meeting on Tuesday (today) on the 9th death anniversary of PPP Chairperson Benazir Bhutto.
The caravans led by senior PPP office-bearers left for Larkana by a train and cars. Senior party leaders including former president Asif Ali Zardari will address the gathering. Other PPP train caravan so far could not reach Naudero due to fog. The workers PPP Workers Movement formed by Naheed Khan and her husband Dr Safdar Abbasi have reached Larkana from Lahore. A delegation led by former MPA Sajida Mir visited the grave of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto and offered Fateha. In a statement on Monday, Asif Ali Zardari said: “We pay homage to Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto for her vision about Pakistan as a modern and progressive state and for her commitment to fight terrorists”. Shaheed Benazir Bhutto had a dream and a vision for the people of Pakistan. For the realisation of her dream she laid down her life while leading the fight from the front, Zardari said. —Correspondent
