Two officials escape, five security personnel hurt in Quetta firing

QUETTA: Assistant Commissioner and District Police Officer, Quetta, narrowly escaped in a firing incident while five security officials were injured on Saturday in the Awaran area of Quetta.
Unidentified terrorists opened fire on the convoy of District Police Officer and Assistant Commissioner in Awaran. The firing was retaliated by security officials and five officials were injured. However, terrorists later fled.
The injured, including three police officials and two Levies men, were shifted to a hospital for treatment.
According to doctors, two of them are in critical condition.
Balochistan Home Minister Sarfraz Bugti has condemned the attack and directed the health officials to provide the best medical treatment to the injured.
