Special prayers offered for APS martyrs in Sukkur
SUKKUR: Special prayers were offered here and in other cities on Friday to express solidarity with the victims of APS massacre. The second death anniversary of the martyred children of the Army Public School of Peshawar was observed at schools, universities, colleges and other institutions.
Rallies were taken out to pay rich tribute to the victims of the APS tragedy. Special programmes were held at the press clubs of Sukkur and Larkana where journalists and activists of civil society paid rich tribute to the martyrs.
Ghulam Asghar Memon, an educationist, said that the APS martyrs were being remembered in each and every corner of the country. A PPP leader, Tahir Imtiaz Phulpoto, said that education was the best weapon against terrorism.
He said that he and his party could feel the pain and grief of the parents of the innocent children because “we are also a victim of the monster of terrorism which snatched from us the hope of the entire nation, Benazir Bhutto”.
