BAHAWALPUR: A 26-point security checklist has been issued to all government and private educational institutions, with a warning of strict action against the violators.
Addressing a gathering at his office, Rahimyar Khan DPO Sohail Zafar Chattha said that strict security had been ordered in educational institutions after the Peshawar massacre.
Trainer mauled by circus lion

BAHAWALPUR: A lion attacked and injured its trainer during a circus show in Liaqatpur on Tuesday night.
Muhammad Azeem was attacked when he was bringing the lion out of its cage for performance. He was critically injured and taken to Liaquatpur THQ Hospital where no doctor was on duty. Later, the circus employees staged a demonstration against the THQ doctors and shifted the injured to BVH, Bahawalpur, after providing him first-aid from a paramedic.
