Two women killed in Haripur accident

HARIPUR: Two women were killed when a tractor-trolley ran over them in the limits of City Police Station here on Thursday. Police and eyewitnesses said Sumaira Bibi, a resident of Kahal Bala village, and an unidentified woman were crossing the road near the D-Stop when a speedy tractor-trolley hit them.
Police and locals of the area shifted them to the Women and Children Hospital where doctors pronounced them dead. The driver of the tractor-trolley managed to escape.
Meanwhile, a man was shot dead in the limits of City Police Station. Mazhar Khan, resident of village Langrial, was on way to Haripur on his motorbike when two assailants opened indiscriminate fire on him near Khan Oil Changing Workshop on GT road.
