Major Ahsan enters BB Shaheed Tennis main round

KARACHI: Major Ahsan recovered from a set down and defeated Wajid Khalil in the qualifying finals to secure a place in the main round of men’s singles event in 2nd BB Shaheed International Tennis Championships at Islamabad Tennis Complex in Islamabad on Monday. Ahsan dropped the first set, but made a strong comeback and won the next two sets to take the game 0-6, 6-4, 6-0.
Others who won their qualifying final matches in the event were Jibran-ul-Haq, Faizan Khurram, Jehanzeb Khan, Asadullah, Ilham Khan, Mubarak Shah and Asad M Khan.
Top eight seed of the men’s singles are Aqeel Khan, Muhammad Abid, Yasir Khan, Shahzad Khan, Heera Ashiq, Mudassar Murtaza and Ahmed Ch.
