RSS holds inter-branch football tournament
Rawalpindi: Roots Garden Schools Rawalpindi Region organised an Inter-branch Football Tournament at Roots Askari-10 Flagship Campus, here. Enthusiastic football teams charged with tremendous competitive spirit from DHA-I, 15 Tulsa, 93 Harley Street, Gujar Khan, Askari-10 Campus & Adiala Branch participated in the tournament.
Host branch decorated the ground with colourful banners, drapes & flags to give a festive look. All branch heads witnessed the exciting matches along with their cheer leaders. The semi-final and final matches were full of excitement and enjoyment. All students displayed great sportsmanship and they were extended full support and appreciation by their respective branch heads, teachers and companions.
Finally in the Junior School category DHA-I Junior School Campus grabbed the 1st position & runner up trophy was won by Adyala Campus. In the Prep School category DHA-I Campus scored the 1st position & runner up trophy was won by 93 Harley preparatory Branch.
Major Shafqat Mahmood, International UEFA' A License Football Coach of Pakistan Army football team inaugurated the tournament amidst, cheers & thundering applause of the students. Trophies were presented to the winning teams & runner up teams. Medals and certificates were presented to all the participating teams.
Engaging students in Sports is considered to be a vital ingredient in child’s development. Roots Garden Schools has recognised the significance of engaging the young learners in sports related activities as it plays a fundamental role in establishing and honing the skills that are important for every child.
