Civil servants arrange farewell dinner for colleague

PESHAWAR: Provincial civil servants praised their retiring colleague, Abdullah Mehsud, for his services to the community and his own fraternity during his stint.

The PCS Officers Association arranged a farewell dinner on Wednesday night in honour of Abdullah Mehsud where they were all praise for the senior civil servant who struggled for the rights of the provincial cadres of bureaucracy. The dinner was also attended by young and senior officers, including provincial police officers.

Those who spoke on the occasion appreciated efforts of Abdullah Mehsud who led the provincial civil service cadre officers’ movement for their rights pertaining to career progression and parity in posting with federal civil servants in the province.

Abdullah Mehsud remained president of the Association of the PCS officers in a time of trail and turbulence.The PCS officers also elected Syed Alamgir Shah as chairman of the association and Muhammad Tahir Orakzai as general secretary.
