Foolproof security for by-election

JHANG: DPO Humayun Masood Monday in a special meeting approved a foolproof security plan for PP-78 by-elections scheduled on December 1st.
The DPO said 2,052 cops along with 27 police officers will be deployed at 171 polling stations besides backup emergency security cover of Pak Army.
DSPs Muhammad Tahir Khichi, Saifullah Bhatti, SHOs Kotwali, City, Satellite Town police stations including beat officers and deployed cops also attended the meeting.
The DPO reviewed election security arrangements and issued special security tips to the relevant officers to ensure law and order situation in true sense.
He said 17 polling stations have been declared top sensitive due to security point of view.
The DPO said two SPs, five DSPs, 20 inspectors, 155 SIs and ASIs, 58 head constables, 1,541 constables, 270 lady constables and 530 police volunteers will perform election security duty.
He ordered special security during transformation of polling material besides safety and security of polling staff. Moreover, under the command of the DPO the police flag march was held.
