UAF VC for changing youths’ mindsets stick to getting jobs

FAISALABAD: Speakers at a seminar on personality development have stressed the need to develop a balanced and flexible personality coupled with excellent communication skills to reap the benefits of emerging opportunities in the world.
The seminar was arranged by the Department of Physics, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, here on Saturday. The function was attended by Commander Dr M Naeem Tariq, Navel Headquarter, Islamabad, Deputy Director, as the guest speaker. Addressing the participants, UAF Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan underlined the need of changing mindsets that sticks the youth getting public jobs after graduation. He said that the world was full of new horizons and the university students should do efforts to make their name in their profession. He urged the youth to make critical analysis of their daily affairs aiming at to make their tomorrow better than the last day. He congratulated the Physics Department on holding the seminar on the very significant issue that our youth was confronting with. Earlier, giving a lecture on personality development and grooming, Commander Dr M Naeem Tariq said that personality was a combination of our appearance and behavior that made us distinctive from rest of the individuals. He urged the participants to overcome their weaknesses and defeat the negative forces from their inside that would bring a new change in the society. Motivated people, he said, perform exceptional well than the educated and lazy individuals. He said that our youth, while having an unwavering faith on their skills and abilities, should appreciate the good things in their spheres and burn the midnight oil if they want to change the society. Prof Dr Muhammad Javed thanked the guest speaker and urged the youth to work hard and drive their future with full vigor to put a positive impact in the society. Department of Physics Chairman Dr Yasir Jamil said that they were inculcating their students with excellent professional and communication skills to make them shining stars.
