3 criminals killed in ‘encounter’

KASUR: Three criminals were killed during a police ‘encounter’ near Bhadian village on Friday.
According to the police spokesman, six robbers snatched a motorcycle from Irfan at Ganda Singh Wala. Later, the victim called the police and informed about the incident. At this, the police set up a picket on Khudian Road and tried to stop six suspects riding on three bikes but they tried to flee and opened fire at the police party at Chah Mali Wala, which was retaliated. As a result, Farooq alias Farooqi and Haidar were killed while the remaining fled. Later, the police again chased the accused and again the encounter started at Jhund Wala Stop. As a result, Safdar alias Shabbu was also killed on the spot while the remaining three fled. The police claimed that the accused persons were involved in 30 cases of heinous crimes.
