PHF tells FIH it has done all paperwork
KARACHI: The PHF secretary Olympian Shahbaz Ahmed has said that he has informed FIH that Pakistan team would participate in the Junior World Cup in India.
He told ‘The News’ that PHF had completed all paper work required for the participation in the World Cup in time.
“Tension at the border is escalating day by day. It is a serious matter. We have concerns, but it is the government that will decide whether we go there or not,” Shahbaz said.
“FIH wanted to know about our participation in the Junior World Cup. We informed them that there was no hurdle and that we had received the NOC from our government and had submitted passports of our players and officials with the Indian embassy on November 16,” the PHF secretary said. “PHF has not received the passports so far,” he added.
