FAISALABAD: The City Traffic Police will implement a special traffic plan to maintain traffic flow on the Eid Miladun Nabi (SAW).
It was stated by Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Muhammad Masoom while addressing the traffic police staff here on Saturday. He said that for this purpose, the traffic police had fixed 58 barrier points for traffic on the routes of the processions to be taken out on the Eid Miladun Nabi (SAW) in various localities of Faisalabad. The CTO told that 610 traffic wardens, including women traffic staff, along with 32 traffic police inspectors would perform duty under the supervision of three DSP traffic police on the Eid Miladun Nabi (SAW). He said that all the traffic incharges and sector inspectors would regulate traffic at all vital points of the routes and keep traffic at sufficient distance from the Eid Miladun Nabi (SAW) processions. They would thoroughly check all suspects and vehicles, he added. Meanwhile, City Police Officer (CPO) Dr Sohail Tajik has directed the district police to remain high alert on the Eid Miladun Nabi (SAW) and check activities of anti-social elements and criminals to avert any untoward incident. He told that the Faisalabad police checked 1,300 vehicles and impounded 23 vehicles for not keeping proper documents besides arresting seven suspects during the checking.
