Dacoit killed by firing of his accomplices

OKARA: A dacoit was killed by the firing of his own accomplices near 41/GD village on Wednesday.
Riaz Ahmad of 42/GD village was on his way home on his motorcycle when three dacoits intercepted him and snatched his motorcycle and cash. In the meantime, Gogera police rushed to the spot and stopped the dacoits near a police post set up near 41/GD village. On seeing the police, the dacoits opened fire at the police, which was retaliated. Later, when the encounter ended, the police found the body of a dacoit, who was later identified as Rafaqat of Wasil Shah village, who was allegedly killed by the firing of his own accomplices. However, the other two dacoits fled. The killed dacoit was wanted in several heinous crimes. The police have registered a case.
