Cash, valuables looted

OKARA: Three dacoity incidents were reported here on Tuesday.
Abdur Rashid of 32/2R village withdrew Rs 1 million from a bank and was on his way when two dacoits intercepted him near Mehboob Alam Chowk and snatched cash from him. In another incident, Tanveer Abbas of 740/GB village, Kamalia, was on his way when four armed men stopped him and looted cash, two cell phones and a bike from him. Anwar Ali was carrying milk when four bandits intercepted his vehicle near 24/GD village on Okara-Faisalabad Highway and took away Rs 106,000 from him. Police have registered separate cases.
550KG SUBSTANDARD MEAT SEIZED: Veterinary officer Dr Ali Adil along with police raided and arrested a man with 550kg substandard meat.
On a tip-off, the team checked a pick-up near 40/D village and recovered 550kg rotten meat. The team also arrested driver Muhammad Amir of Dubai Town. Sadar Depalpur police have registered a case.
