Zubair enters tennis tourney final

KARACHI: Zubair Raja defeated Parbat Kumar in straight sets and qualified for the final of U17 singles event in 2nd Abdul Majeed Trophy Development Series Ranking Championship 2016 at Union Club here on Friday.
Zubair easily took the first set by 6-2 score but Parbat put up resistance in the second and took the game in tie-breaks.
However, Zubair eventually prevailed winning the set 7-5. In an U13 quarter-final on Friday, Abeeq Kashif defeated Mushab Umair 8-2.
In an U13 semi-final clash, Mohammad Abdullah defeated Sarim 8-3. In ladies singles quarter-finals, Syeda Eraj blanked Yumna, recording an 8-0 victory.
