Aqeel, Zubair in tennis tourney final

KARACHI: Aqeel Shabbir and Zubair Raja cruised into the final of 2nd Abdul Majeed Trophy Development Series Ranking Tennis Championship after winning their respective semi-final matches of men’s singles event at the Union Club here on Thursday.

Aqeel recovered from a set down to beat Robin Das by 2-6, 6-2, 11-9 score. Zubair thrashed Haseeb Ismail in the other semi-final clash registering a convincing 6-1, 6-0 win. In U11 semi-finals, Sarim Imran defeated Andrea Guid by 8-2 score.
