FAISALABAD: A woman committed suicide over a domestic dispute at Alvi Park on Jaranwala Road.
Farnaz Bibi ended her life by swallowing poisonous pills. Police have handed over the body to the family after completing legal formalities. In another incident, Faiqa of Mohallah Chibban tried to end her life by hanging herself with a fan.
MAN SHOT DEAD: An electrician was gunned down by unidentified people here on Wednesday night. Habib Sharif of Chak 202/RB was on way home when the unidentified people shot him dead and threw his body in a plot. Police have registered a case.
SEMINAR: Consumers should be aware of regulatory laws for the protection of their rights, said Fesco Chief Financial Officer Muhammad Iqbal Ghauri.
Addressing a seminar here on Thursday, he said that awareness of the regulatory laws to the consumers would be helpful in improving performance of the DISCOs.
OBITUARY: Mother of MPA Muhammad Nawaz Malik and wife of former MPA Muhammad Yousaf Malik died here on Thursday.
She was buried in Ghulam Muhammadabad graveyard. A large number of people attended her funeral prayers. Her Qul will be held at Qasmia Park at 2pm today.
