Seven cops suspended for helping PTI leader to escape
GUJRAT: The district police officer (DPO) on Tuesday suspended seven cops for allegedly helping an arrested leader of PTI to escape from the police custody.
The DPO said that PTI leader Ch Sadaqat along with his supporters was arrested by the district police on Monday evening from Daleywala area of Kharian for creating anarchy and charging the mob to attend the PTI march in Islamabad on November 2. However, with the assistance of some policemen, the detained PTI leader managed to escape from the custody of the police, the DPO claimed. The DPO said that he took notice of it and suspended seven cops, including a picket incharge.
