MANSEHRA: Four persons were killed in exchange of fire between two rival groups in Palas tehsil of Kohistan, local sources said on Tuesday.
They said that Siri Khan and his rival group led by Abdul Qayyum traded fire in Khanabad area of Palas. As a result, Siri Khan and his two sons, Mohammad Ilyas and Gulzada Khan and head of rival family Abdul Qayyum were killed in the clash.
The sources said the exchange of heavy fire continued for hours. However, the police reached the spot and stopped the firing between the rivals. The sources said the police shifted the bodies to Civil Hospital in Pattan, where these were handed over to respective families after the doctors performed the autopsy. Mohammad Zaman, head constable at Palas Police Station, told reporters that four persons, two each from both families, had been arrested.
