Teachers take out rally

GUJRANWALA: Hundreds of teachers took out a rally against out of the district transfer of headmasters here on Friday.
The teachers took out a rally from the Government Iqbal High School up to Gondlanwala Chowk. The protesting teachers chanted slogans against the government and criticised the educational policies. Addressing the rally, teachers’ leaders Muhammad Zakariya, Rana Muqeem and others said that the teachers were not responsible for poor results. They demanded that cancellation of the transfer orders of headmasters.
Stray twine injures biker in Gujranwala

GUJRANWALA: A motorcyclist was injured after a stray twine fell on him on Sialkot Road in Civil Lines police limits on Friday. According to the police, Umer of Glotian was on his way when twine of a stray kite fell on him. As a result, he was injured. Police have registered a case against an unidentified kite flyer.
