41 booked for injuring men of rival MSF group

OKARA: City A-Division police on Wednesday night registered a case against 41 persons of the MSF (Mani group) on the charges of attacking and injuring five men of the rival MSF group.
Those booked include Imran alias Mani, Allah Rakha, Jani, Kamran, Irfan and Rehan. Four days ago, men belonging to Mani group and Ali Jatt group, both of the MSF, clashed at City Chowk. As a result, five people, including Ali Jatt, were injured. Meanwhile, the police have apprehended two accused.
SIX HELD: The assistant commissioner arrested six shopkeepers on the charge of decanting here. Assistant Commissioner Maham Asif Malik raided different areas and caught Aslam, Abdul Ghafoor, Sajid Raza, Muhammad Asif, Ahmad Ali and Amir Muhammad on the charge of decanting. Police have registered separate cases against them.
UPLIFT PROJECTS: Solid planning would be undertaken to complete the development projects in the city, said MNA Ch Riazul Haq. Chairing a meeting of the District Development Committee here, he said that the PML-N government was working for progress and prosperity of the country. He asked the officers concerned to black list those contractors, who had failed to complete their projects timely.
