Two killed, nine hurt in Sibi landmine blast
SIBI: Two people were killed and nine were wounded in a landmine explosion in Balochistan’s Sibi district on Thursday.
A security official told the media that a vehicle carrying local tribesmen hit a landmine in Babar Kach area of Sibi district. Two tribesmen were killed on the spot while nine were injured. The injured were rushed to District Headquarter Hospital, Sibi, for medical treatment, he said.The official informed that unknown miscreants had planted the landmine on roadside, which caused the human loss.
The tribesmen were coming from Sangan area to Sibi when their vehicle hit the landmine in the Babar Kach area. Security forces reached the spot as an investigation into the incident was being carried out, the security official added. Emergency was imposed in the hospital to treat the injured of the blast.There has been no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
