Woman killed, son hurt in accident

SIALKOT: A woman was killed while her son sustained injuries in an accident on Sialkot-Ugoki Road near Raipur Stop on Monday.
Zain and his mother Shama Bibi were on their way by a motorcycle when a speeding car hit them. As a result, Shama Bibi died on the spot while Zain sustained injuries and rushed to a hospital. Police have arrested car driver Muhammad Boota and started investigation.
Five elect unopposed on MC Sialkot reserved seats

SIALKOT: As many as five candidates have been elected unopposed in the upcoming elections for the reserved seats of the Municipal Corporation Sialkot.
Dr Ali Khokhar and Mohsin Naeem are elected on the two seats reserved for technocrats and Mian Abdul Shakoor and Shams Ahmed are elected on the seats reserved for workers and Vijay Kumar is elected unopposed on the seat reserved for minorities.
