23 school kids injured in Hangu road accident

HANGU: At least 23 schoolchildren, a teacher and a driver sustained injuries on Monday as a vehicle plunged into a gorge in the district.It was learnt that a van was carrying grade 9 and 10 students of the Government High School Shahokhel to Noruz area for a cricket match.The driver lost control over the steering wheel while negotiating a sharp turn in Karapa area and the vehicle fell into a gorge. As a result, 23 schoolchildren, a teacher and the driver of the vehicle sustained injuries in the accident. The injured were shifted to a hospital in Hangu where the condition of all the injured was stated to be stable.Reports said that the incident occurred due to overloading.
