Squash legends’ village gets new power feeder
PESHAWAR: New Nawan Killay-2 feeder has been inaugurated at 132 KV Kohat Road Gridstation. A former squash player and member Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) Board of Directors Qamar Zaman and others were also present on the occasion.
Pesco Chief Executive Anwarul Haq Yousafzai inaugurated the feeder which cost Rs10 million. The facility would benefit over 10,000 families of Nawan Killay, a village whose players have won laurels for the country and acquired the status of legends.
The Pesco chief said the five km transmission line from Kohat Road Gridstation to Nawan Killay, which has 50 poles, is to ensure smooth power supply. He said work on installation of 38 new gridstations had already been started which would address the problems of low voltage.
