PO killed in ‘encounter’ in Jhang

JHANG: A proclaimed offender was killed during an ‘encounter’ with police at Chak 441 on Friday.
Talking to media here, DPO Humayun Masood said that Mochiwala police raided a house to arrest PO Younis, a resident of Karor Paka tehsil, Lodhran district, who was wanted in murder, robbery and other heinous crimes. The DPO said that on seeing the police, the PO opened fire at the police, which was retaliated. As a result, Younis was seriously injured and rushed to a hospital but he succumbed to his injuries. The DPO told that several cases were registered against the accused PO in different police stations of Faisalabad, Lodhran and Jhang districts.
