Couple killed in accident

BAHAWALPUR: A couple was killed in a road accident near Fatoo Wali on Saturday.
Muhammad Javed and his wife Muneeran Bibi were on their way to Khanqah Sharif from Hasilpur when a speeding motorbike collided with their bike and both husband and wife fell on the Bahawalpur-Sma Stta Road. In the meantime, a tractor-trolley coming from behind hit them. As a result, both died on the spot.
EXCISE INSPECTOR HELD WITH BRIBE: Anti-Corruption Establishment Bahawalnagar circle officer Rao Kaleem Ahmad on Saturday arrested excise inspector Sajid and recovered Rs 3,300 bribe from him.
The ACE officer raided the Bahawalnagar Excise and Taxation Office and caught red-handed excise inspector with bribe money. A case has been registered against the accused person and he was sent to the City A-Division Bahawalnagar police station.
