Man dies, 3 hurt as wall of house collapses

OKARA: A man died while three others sustained injuries when a wall of a house collapsed due to windstorm at Jandrak village on Thursday night.

Maqbool Hussain came at the house of Muhammad Saleem for some work. In the meantime, a wall of the house collapsed due to windstorm. As a result, Maqbool died on the spot while Kishwar Bibi, w/o Muhammad Saleem, his daughter Attiya Bibi and son Shahzad also came under the debris and received injuries.

 

Man killed by wife’s paramour

OKARA: A man was shot dead allegedly by paramour of his wife at Chuki Majhyana village on Friday.

Accused Nazar Muhammad allegedly developed illicit relations with Meraj Bibi, wife of Aslam. On the day of the incident, when Aslam was on his way accused Nazar Muhammad along with his brother Rafiq intercepted him and allegedly beat him. Later, the accused allegedly shot him dead. Chuchak police have registered a case.

 

2 injured in gas leakage blast

OKARA: Two people were injured when a blast occurred due to leakage of gas in a tailor shop at Mohallah Ghauspura on Friday.

A gas pipe was leaking for the last few days in the shop of tailor Hafeez and he had informed the SNGPL officials but to no use. On the day of the incident, when Hafeez switched on an electric switch to iron clothes, a huge blast occurred due to leakage of gas in the shop. As a result, Hafeez and his friend Azam sustained injuries and rushed to a hospital.
