JI protest against killings of Kashmiris

GUJRANWALA: Activists of the Jamaat-e-Islami on Friday staged a demonstration against the killings of innocent Kashmiris by the Indian forces.
The protesters, led by Youth Wing district leader Khalid Chahal, gathered at Gondwanaland Chowk and chanted slogans against the Indian forces for brutally killing the innocent Kashmiris. They also set ablaze the effigy of the Indian PM. The protesters demanded the UNO implement its resolutions and take steps to stop killings of innocent Kashmiris.
POLICE FLAG MARCH: The district police organised a flag march here on Friday.
The flag march was led by SP City Jawad Tariq while SHOs of the City Division also participated in the flag march. Several police vehicles patrolled on the city roads and checked security measures at different imambargahs and routes of Muharram processions.
BODY RECOVERED FROM CANAL: The Rescue 1122 teams on Friday recovered the dead body of a youth who had drowned in the Manchar Chatha Canal three days ago.
Haidar Ali had drowned when his car fell into the canal after an accident.
