Judge escapes unhurt, driver killed in Swabi attack

SWABI: An additional district and sessions judge escaped unhurt but her driver was killed when unidentified assailants ambushed her vehicle in the jurisdiction of the Zaida Police Station here on Sunday, sources said.
The sources said that Additional District and Sessions Judge, Haripur, Hina Khan, along with her mother and sister, was on her way home in the Adena village when unidentified gunmen sprayed her car with bullets in Ranradheri village. Her driver, identified as Sarwar Shah, was killed on the spot while she, her mother and sister escaped unhurt.
The assailants escaped after committing the crime. The police reached the spot and shifted the body to the District Headquarters Hospital, Swabi. The motive behind the murder could not be ascertained.
