Two kidnappers killed in encounter,
three-year-old abductee recovered

KASUR: Mustafabad police recovered a three-year-old girl and killed her two kidnappers in an encounter on Monday night.
Unidentified people abducted Fatima for Rs 2 million ransom and the police registered a case on the report of the abductee’s grandfather Muhammad Saleem. Six police teams were constituted to recover the girl. The police interrogated Ali Raza, a relative of the abductee, on suspicion. During interrogation, Ali confessed the crime. He said that he and two others Kashif alias Kashi and Sajid alias Sajo kidnapped the girl for ransom. He further disclosed that the two other accused had shifted the abductee near Paki Haveli. To it, the police raided the area to arrest the kidnappers and recover the girl. Seeing the police, the kidnappers opened fire on them and escaped, leaving the abductee there. The police continued chasing the kidnappers amid firing from both sides. When the guns were silenced, the police found Kashif and Sajid injured. Police recovered two pistols and a motorcycle from the crime scene. The injured kidnappers died on way to a hospital. Meanwhile, the abductee, Fatima, was handed over to her family by DPO Ali Nasir Rizvi.
