Opposition has mandated government on Kashmir issue: Siraj
ISLAMABAD: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq on Monday said the opposition parties during the All Parties Conference (APC) threw ball in the court of the government to play its due role in getting right of self-determination for the people of Kashmir.
“It is welcome step to call the APC on Kashmir and the opposition parties have thrown ball in government’s court and let us see how the Pakistani rulers act in getting right of self-determination for the people of Occupied Kashmir,” Sirajul Haq while talking to newsmen after the APC said.
Siraj, however, was critical of the Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz for not raising voice for release of Dr Aafia Siddiqui and issue of execution of opposition leaders in Bangladesh and Indian intervention in Balochistan particularly with reference to arrest of Indian spy.
He said the prime minister had shattered trust of the nation for uttering even a single word on these three issues during his address to the UN General Assembly and at other forums inside and outside the country.“The silence of Nawaz Sharif is questionable on issues of release of Dr Aafia Siddiqui and execution of lovers of united Pakistan in Bangladesh,” he said.
