Lawyers urge govt to convene APC

MULTAN: Lawyers Saturday urged the government to convene an All Parties Conference to respond evil designs of the Indian government.
At the Multan District Bar Association meeting, the lawyers condemned Indian acts. The lawyers also took out a rally under the leadership of Bar president Azimul Haq Pirzada against Indian threats.
The rally started from the Bar and culminated at Kutchery Chowk.
The lawyers said the Indian nefarious designs against Pakistan have been exposed and it has staged the drama of Uri attack to malign Pakistan at global level.
Addressing the rally, Pirzada said India wanted to provoke Pakistan. He condemned Indian government for violating LoC, saying that the Modi government has always ignored peace process. He said India wanted to disrupt our developmental projects that would change the living standards of the people of the region. He said India openly has said that it would create difficulties for Pakistan by diverting flow of rivers. He said in connection with rivers water the World Bank is moderator and in this way the Indian government actually has indicated its designs of going against the WB decisions.
He urged the UN to take notice of the LoC violations.
The Bar secretary general Imran Khakwani said the UN and the international community should know that India is a country that promotes terrorism.
JOURNALISTS CONDEMN INDIAN ACTS: Office-bearers of the Multan Press Club and Cable Operators Association staged a demonstration against Indian threats outside the Multan Press Club.
Club president Shakil Anjum and Cable Operators Association secretary general Tahir Chaudhry led the demonstration.
They said India had openly stated that it would promote unrest in Balochistan.
They said atrocities of Indian troops on innocent Kashmiris was an open violation of human rights. They urged global rights bodies to take notice of the Indian acts against humanity.
