Rally held against India

GUJRANWALA: Civil society and Contractors Association Gujranwala Saturday took out a rally against India.
The participants were carrying banners and placards and raised slogans against India. They vowed laying down their lives to defend their motherland.
Addressing the rally, speakers said India should know that the whole nation is behind the armed forces to counter Indian aggressive designs. They criticized the human rights organisations for remaining indifferent to Indian atrocities in the Indian Held Kashmir (IHK).
LOCALS ROBBED OF CASH, VALUABLES: Several locals were deprived of cash, cell phones and other valuables by thieves and robbers in different areas of Gujranwala on Saturday.
In Gakhar Mandi robbers snatched Rs 29,000 and a cell phone from Qasim. Mubashir and his wife were deprived of Rs 30,000, gold ornaments and two cell phones at Ahmadnagar.
At city Wazirabad area bandits snatched Rs 18,000 and a cell phone from Jamil. Khaliq in the area of Sohdra was deprived of Rs 52,000 and three cell phones. In Sadr Kamoke police limits Jahangir and his wife were deprived of gold ornaments, Rs 38,000 and a cell phone. Rauf and his wife were intercepted by bandits at Eminabad and were robbed of cash and gold ornaments.
In Gujranwala Sadr police limits dacoits snatched Rs 20,000 and two cell phones from Qamar. Nabeel was deprived of Rs 12,000 and two cell phones in Cantt area. Abid was also deprived of Rs 13,000 and two cell phones in Cantt area. Gunmen snatched Rs 30,000 and a cell phone from Ansa in Kotwali police limits.
Bandits barged into the house of Fakhir in Aroop area and took away cash, gold ornaments and other valuables.
New motorcycles of Asghar, Riaz and Shani were lifted from the different areas of the city.
RPO SUSPENDS SHO: Regional Police Officer (RPO) Muhammad Tahir visited Khiali police station and suspended its SHO and a head constable.
Reportedly, the RPO received several complaints of the PS and found irregularities in its record and suspended SHO Sarfraz Ranjha and cop Ilyas.
SIX FAINT: Six people fainted and landed at a hospital for eating toxic food on Saturday.
Reportedly, Rukhsana, 60, Saqlain, 17, Sufian, 16, Kainat, 14, Khadeeja, 13, and Samreen, 10, of Badshah Colony Kamoke consumed stale rice and fainted. They were rushed to DHQ Hospital where their condition was stated to be stable.
PROBE ORDERED: Anti-Corruption Establishment Gujranwala Director Rana Abdul Shakoor ordered a probe against two ASIs of the ACE on charges of misplacing a file.
Reportedly, an enquiry was being processed against Patwari Amjad Farooq and Constable Zulfiqar and file of the case was in the custody of ASIs Zulfiqar and Irshad Ullah. They allegedly misplaced the file.
