Pakistan fully capable of thwarting any aggression: Khawaja Asif
ISLAMABAD: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif says India wants to divert the world attention from the Kashmir issue by creating undue tension with Pakistan.
In an interview, he said the independence movement in held Kashmir had intensified after the martyrdom of Burhan Wani. Asif said that freedom movement in held Kashmir is gaining momentum with every passing day. He said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has vigorously pleaded the case of Kashmir at the United Nations General Assembly. He said if India initiated any aggression, Pakistan is ready and fully capable of thwarting any such attempt. He said that India had been causing loss to residents of Pakistan in the border areas by targeting animals and infrastructure forcing people to migrate to safer places. He said Pakistan is a peace-loving country and it considered durable peace in the region essential for achieving sustainable development goals.
